Embroidery Digitizer (Puncher)

About the Role

The Embroidery Digitizer (Puncher) will be responsible for the creation of digital embroidery designs using software tools. This includes converting artwork into a digitized file, which can be read by embroidery machines to stitch out the final design on a variety of materials. The role requires a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of design principles, excellent computer skills, and a passion for creative work.

Key Responsibilities

• Convert artwork and design files into digitized files using embroidery software.
• Ensure that digitized files are compatible with various types of embroidery machines.
• Correctly sequence all aspects of the design for optimal sewing, minimizing thread changes and jumps.
• Maintain a comprehensive library of design files, ensuring each file is accurately labelled and easy to locate.
• Work closely with production teams to ensure the highest quality of embroidery output.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and techniques in embroidery digitizing.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Proven experience in embroidery digitizing or a related field.
• Proficiency in using embroidery digitizing software such as Wilcom or Pulse.
• Strong understanding of graphic design principles and digital file formats.
• Excellent computer skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills, capable of working well in a team environment.
